Programs
Recreational
Club Elite offers recreational programs at various community centers in the Lower Mainland. These programs are designed to encourage physical activity and fun while introducing children to the basics of rhythmic gymnastics. Gymnasts will learn the fundamental body movements of the sport in combination with colorful hand apparatus such as ribbons, hoops, ropes and balls. Coaches also focus on teaching the gymnasts coordination of their body and apparatus movements to the rhythms of music. These recreational classes are offered for children as young as the pre-school years and are designed so that they can progress right through until the elementary years.
Pre-Competitive
Club Elite’s pre-competitive program is designed for children that display the interest and ability needed to begin preparing for eventual participation on a competitive level. Often, gymnasts enter the pre-competitive program after an introduction to rhythmic gymnastics at the recreational level. Training in this program is focused on more advanced body and apparatus technique and thoroughly prepares gymnasts for the competitive level. These gymnasts are also given the opportunity to participate in competitions and shows in a fun and relaxing manner. After a period of time in the pre-competitive program, gymnasts who excel are encouraged to move up into the competitive program if interested.
'Future Stars'
Club Elite’s ‘Future Stars’ program consists of talented young gymnasts hand-picked by our head coach, Diana Kosarac. Gymnasts that display the potential needed to excel in the future are chosen for this program and taught the technique and skills necessary for advanced future endeavors. These athletes have the opportunity to train side-by-side with our National Level athletes and are also coached by Diana Kosarac, National Team Coach. Gymnasts in the ‘Future Stars’ program compete provincially until they are ready to be elevated to our national-level ‘elite’ training program.
Competitive
Club Elite’s competitive program provides training that focuses on physical and psychological conditioning and the development of advanced body and apparatus technique in order to prepare for participation in competitions. Gymnasts in our competitive levels will learn routines specific to their level of competition that are designed and choreographed to suit each gymnast’s personal abilities and character.
Competitive levels vary by age and ability, and athletes are encouraged to move through the levels at their own pace through the support of their coaches. Our competitive program involves attending competitions within British Columbia for provincial-stream and for our advanced national-stream gymnasts competitions are held in Canada and internationally. Through sincere dedication, desire and commitment to the competitive program by our gymnasts and coaches, Club Elite has witnessed countless of our gymnasts succeed in the competitive rhythmic gymnastics arena, both in Canada and abroad.
